DALLAS — What a week it was for Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey!
Aubrey and his wife, Jenn, welcomed their newborn son Colton to the world on Aug. 12, according to an Instagram post by the couple.
"Colton Scott Aubrey, welcome home! We could not love you more if we tried. Thank you for changing our lives in the best way possible. You truly are a blessing from above," the post read.
The Cowboys kicker was able to make it home for the birth of his son thanks to his father-in-law who flew Aubrey home. The two are seen in the cockpit of a plane in the final photo of the Instagram post. In one of the photos Colton, he's seen wearing a onesie that reads "Baby Butter," a nod to Aubrey's nickname bestowed upon him by QB1, Dak Prescott.
And Aubrey has always had phenomenal range on his field goals – part of what landed the Plano native the job after a spell in the MLS – but some newfound dad strength may have helped him in the preseason game against the Raiders after Colton was born.
Aubrey nailed a 66-yarder to end the first half with relative ease, a mark that matches the NFL record set by Justin Tucker in 2021.
