DALLAS — March Madness is must-see TV, and it's an even more electric experience in person.
The NCAA announced new games coming to North Texas in 2027 and 2028, and they're spreading the love between Dallas and Fort Worth.
In 2027, the University of North Texas will host the first and second rounds of the tournament at Dickie's Arena in Fort Worth. In 2028, Conference USA will host the South Regional games inside Dallas' American Airlines Center.
Both Dallas and Fort Worth have been fortunate to host games for the NCAA men's basketball tournament before. Dallas has hosted 15 rounds of March Madness over its 85-year history; nine first and second rounds, five regionals and one Final Four. Fort Worth has hosted three first and second rounds.
With AT&T Stadium, Arlington has hosted two March Madness rounds; one regional round and one Final Four.
In truth, all Texans are blessed when it comes to March Madness. Over the next four years, Texas cities will host games in the Tournament. Through 2030, Texas is also hosting two Final Fours! So even if your city isn't hosting, you can always take a trip around the Texas Triangle.
