The first CFP bracket is out! Here's how all the Texas teams fared and who plays who if it started today.

Here is a look at the 12-team College Football Playoff rankings released on Nov. 5.

DALLAS — The first 12-team bracket for the College Football Playoff was released on Nov. 5, which featured Oregon as the top-rated team in the nation.

The CFP committee still ranks the top 25 teams in the country, but only 12 will make this year's playoff bracket. The top four ranked conference champs will take the first four seeds, the fifth-highest conference champion will also get an automatic bid and then the remaining seven spots will be filled with the highest-ranked at large teams in the nation.

Three Texas teams were ranked in the CFP Top 25: Texas, SMU and Texas A&M. Only one of those, however, qualified for the 12-team bracket in the inaugural rankings. The Nov. 5 ranking provides a snapshot of how they have viewed the first 10 weeks of the college football season.

SMU and Texas A&M were the first two teams left out of the 12-team bracket.
