INDIANAPOLIS β Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons put his hoops skills on display at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the NBA All-Star Celebrity game. His team won the game and Parsons was named MVP, as well.
Parsons was one of a few NFL superstars β including Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua β to compete in the game. Parsons and Stroud were selected to opposite teams, so expect the two to engage in some trash talk. Before the game, Parsons got a jab in at Stroud, reposting a video on X that shows Stroud's high school basketball highlights.
"This jvππππ?," Parsons posted on X.
Parsons also reposted a video on X from 97.1 The Freak's Kevin Gray showing the Cowboys linebacker playing basketball in a gym.
".@MicahhParsons11 can hoop donβt get twisted! Letβs not forget how he was out here putting dudes on skates and with the lefty finish, heβs gonna be a problem in the Celebrity Game!," Gray posted.
Parsons was on Team Shannon, coached by NFL legend Shannon Sharpe, Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and rapper/singer 50 Cent. Parsons' teammates include: Nacua, actors Dylan Wang and Quincy Isaiah, streamer Kai Cenat, IndyCar Series racer Conor Daly, five-time Seattle Storm All-Star Jewell Loyd, Emmy Award-winning entertainer Lilly Singh, Grammy Award-nominated recording artists Walker Hayes and SiR, and and Latin American Music Award-winning recording artist Anuel AA.
Stroud played as part of Team Stephen A, coached by ESPN NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith, Grammy Award-winning recording artist Lil Wayne and two-time WNBA M.V.P. A'ja Wilson.
Parsons dominated in the paint, posting a stat line of 37 points, 16 rebounds and four steals. Parsons was awarded MVP for the game.
