North Texas popular rice artist is a huge Dallas Mavericks fan

Alissa Teo, a Flower Mound mom and artist, is a lifelong Dallas Mavericks fan. She shares that love with her 3.5 million social media followers.

FLOWER MOUND, Texas — In addition to airing every game of the 2024 NBA Finals on our station, WFAA is also hosting a special presentation called "The Pregame" before every matchup in the series. Head here for more information.

Every corner of Alissa Teo's Flower Mound home office is glittered with Dallas Mavericks gear.

She's a lifelong fan. Alissa watched games with her dad growing up, and now her three children watch with her too.

In 2011, Alissa was at the American Airlines Center for the watch party when the Mavericks won its first NBA title. She wants her mini maniAACs to have that experience too.

"I'm hoping the magic I got to see them be NBA champions, my kids can enjoy as well," she said.

With Dallas down two games to the Boston Celtics, she is putting all her fan energy into her work.

Alissa is a rice artist and the founder of Fried Rice Art. She has 3.5 million followers on TikTok and multiple pieces of her artwork have gone viral on social media.

She spends hours behind the table using a cup and ruler to detail rice on a piece of white cardboard. Then she takes the piece outside and records it being thrown into the air.

Alissa recently created a new version of the Dallas Mavericks logo and Luka Dončić.

She frequently shows off her fiery blue passion on her platforms. This DFW artist is ready for game three of the NBA Finals, hoping her Dallas Mavericks can come back in the series.
