Brian Dameris, a Mavs broadcaster, savagely rips James Harden before Dallas-Los Angeles game

Brian Dameris riddled off a two-minute roast about James Harden before the Mavs-Clippers game Friday night.

DALLAS — Chalk this one up in the hall of all-time on-air roasts of a professional athlete.

The Dallas Mavericks hosted the Los Angeles Clippers Friday night in their second game of the brand new "In-Season Tournament" – regular season games that also count towards a prize and championship. The Mavericks cruised to a 144-126 victory thanks to 44 points from Luka Doncic.

But it was what happened before tip-off that had the Internet buzzing.

On the Bally Sports Southwest pre-game show, analyst Brian Dameris riddled off a two-minute roast of newly-acquired Clipper, James Harden. Harden's arrival to the Clippers – as well as his numerous drama-filled stops before Los Angeles – was the topic of Dameris' rant.

It's quite the watch. Take a listen

“I hope you’re taking notes,” Dameris said. “I’m telling you in advance, ‘You’re welcome,’ for the wisdom I’m about to spew. Because listen, I get on my knees every night and pray for someone to believe in me like Daryl Morey believed in you. You wanted a certain coach, they brought in Mike D’Antoni, you wanted to play a certain style, they played it, you wanted Dwight Howard, they brought him in when you were tired of him. You wanted Chris Paul, they brought him in and got rid of him when you were tired of him. They brought in your old friend Russell Westbrook. You wanted to go to Vegas on off days, they looked the other way. You wanted the team to stay over so you could go out at night, they changed the schedule and it didn’t work. And you know what, you said, ‘I’m going to break up with my wooby, not good enough ...”

Dameris dropped the mic with this final quote: "“There’s not going to be anybody left, because James, you’re not The Beard. You’re not the system. You’re the problem.”

Harden is averaging 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 32 minutes during his three games with the Clippers.
