DALLAS, Texas — Billionaire and Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban shared why he brought in a major investor to share ownership of the Dallas based professional basketball team.

Cuban said he has been waiting on the huge business deal to close.

He talked about getting final NBA approval for the sale on Wednesday and basketball fans are talking about it.

Krista Johnston is a longtime Mavericks fan who attended the game Wednesday to watch them play the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"I think Mark is a good businessman," Johnston said, "And if he decides to do this, I trust his judgment."

"I don't know why he did it, maybe if I just understood why he sold part of the team," Adrian Hernandez said. "I don't think he should have done that. I will be honest with you. The team is winning right now."

"I feel fine," Taylor Robinson said. "He's done such a good job for Dallas, for the team. I think it's a good thing."

Definitely good for Cuban, who bought the Mavericks in 2000 for $285 million. Although the exact amount Las Vegas-based casino billionaire Miriam Adelson paid Cuban is unknown, estimation ranges from $3.5 billion to $5 billion.

Although Mavericks Coach Jason Kidd did not address the sale during his pregame news conference, it's a hot topic among fans. Adelson has reportedly purchased property in Texas rumored to be the future home of casinos in the Lone Star State.

Either way, some fans welcome the new owners and even shared what they believe is room for improvement for the home of the Mavs.

"Figure out the parking," said Johnston. "How to get in and out a little bit quicker."

"City of Dallas can be a loving place, just love us back," Robinson said.

That's what Cuban is counting on when it comes to the Adelsons, who he describes as more than just business partners.

"They are good people, they are committed to Dallas," said Mark Cuban. "They are committed to winning and they got great hearts."
