DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic has sustained a wrist injury and is expected to miss time, according to team officials.
ESPN Insider Shams Charania broke the news that Doncic will be re-evaluated in one week due to a right wrist strain, which is his shooting hand.
Doncic had just returned to the lineup on Tuesday against the Pelicans after missing the Oklahoma City game with a knee injury. Doncic scored a game-high 26 points against the Pelicans and added five rebounds and five assists. Team officials told WFAA in an email that Doncic suffered the right wrist sprain in Tuesday's game against the Pelicans.
Doncic was seen with a wrap on that wrist during his post-game press conference.
The Dallas Mavericks are set to tip-off against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night in another NBA Cup Night, which will be aired on ESPN and KFAA. The Mavs also have games on Sunday, Nov. 24, Monday, Nov. 25 and Wednesday, Nov. 27.
