ARLINGTON, Texas — Two Texas Rangers have been selected to the American League roster for the 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Outfielder Joey Gallo and left-handed pitcher Mike Minor were selected to play in the July 9 game at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The duo joins Hunter Pence, whose selection was announced Thursday.
"It was quite a wild journey from this year to last year," Pence said. "And to even be speaking about this now, is a miracle. It's a blessing, and I'm very grateful."
This is the first time since 2013 that three Texas Rangers have been selected to play in the All-Star Game.
