ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers World Series banner is here.
The team unveiled its first championship banner in a pregame ceremony Thursday night ahead of the Rangers' Opening Day matchup against the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field. The banner was unfurled from the rafters above right field, to the right of the large video board.
Globe Life Field played Queen's "We are the champions" as the white banner with red lettering was dropped.
"I know you've waited a long time but now we shared the World Series trophy with you," Manager Bruce Bochy told the crowd during the pregame ceremony, moments before the banner was unveiled.

Texas will play Chicago on Thursday night before an off day Friday, and then games against the Cubs again on Saturday and Sunday.
When do Texas Rangers players get their World Series rings?
Rangers players and on-field coaches and staff will receive their 2023 World Series Championship rings in a pregame ceremony during Saturday's game on March 30 beginning at 5:20 p.m.
