ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers will open their most anticipated season against the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field.
The game will begin at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.
As the World Series Champions are expected to make another playoff run, more fans want to see games in person and the Rangers are rewarding those willing to make a commitment.
Fans who become a Rangers Insider by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 17 will be entered into a random drawing.
Selected winners can purchase up to two ticket packages on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19. Each ticket package will include an opening day ticket and a ticket of equal or greater value to a second home game.
The second home game will be chosen by the ticket holder from a preselected list of 32 games. All winners will be notified on Monday, March 18. Fans can become a Rangers Insider at rangers.com/insider.
As of Friday, more than 1,000 tickets are remaining for the season opener.
Opening Day is part of a three-game, four-day series against the Chicago Cubs. The defending World Series champions will wear gold-trimmed uniforms complete with the gold “T” on their blue caps, for the entire opening weekend.
Thursday, the team will unveil the 2023 World Series Champions banner as part of the opening day ceremonies.
Then on Saturday, the Rangers will receive their World Series rings in an on-field ceremony before the first pitch.
Parking
All Globe Life Field parking lots will once again be cashless. All parking passes can be found in the MLB Ballpark app and purchased at the lot entry for those who didn't pay ahead of time. You can find handicapped parking in most general and season parking lots, where it’s sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Night Games – Lots open 2.5 hours before game time, and entries open 2 hours before game time.
- Day Games – Lots open 2 hours before game time, and entries open 1.5 hours before game time.
Bag policy
Bags equal to or smaller than 16”x 16” x 8” are allowed into Globe Life Field. No backpacks are permitted except for single-compartment drawstring bags. Additionally, coolers of any kind are prohibited. Bags that meet the 16” x 16” x 8” size do not have to be clear.
Exceptions are for those bags carried for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants or young children.
Outside food/drink
Outside food is allowed inside of Globe Life Field as long as it is inside a sealed clear quart-sized (or less) plastic bag. Guests may also bring in sealed non-flavored water (plastic bottle and under 1 liter). One bag of food and one bottle of water per ticket will be permitted.
