Adolis Garcia was the new Astros owner Monday night, according to Wikipedia

Garcia, also known as "El Bombi," had his way with the Astros on Monday night, going 4-for-5 with two homers and five runs batted in.

HOUSTON — Wikipedia doesn't lie, right?

Shortly after the Rangers beat the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series on Monday night, the Astros' Wikipedia page received an edit.

It was subtle, and easy to miss. But not for Rangers fans.

Because under the "front office" section of the page, it listed the club as having a new principal owner: Adolis Garcia.

The page has gone back to normal since then, but hey, it's hard to argue with that.

Garcia, also known as "El Bombi," had his way with the Astros on Monday night, going 4-for-5 with two homers and five runs batted in.

He also homered the night before, hitting a grand slam in the ninth inning that put the Astros away in Game 6.

Garcia's efforts earned him ALCS MVP honors. But it earned him a little revenge, too.

After his three-run homer in Game 5, Garcia was hit by a fastball from Astros reliever Bryan Abreu. Garcia then confronted Astros catcher Martin Maldonado, leading to a benches-clearing scuffle between the two teams.

Abreu and Garcia got ejected and the Astros came back to win the game, setting up a boo-fest for Houston fans when Garcia stepped to the plate in Game 6. Their boos turned to cheers when Garcia struck out the first four times.

Then he hit the grand slam.

Then went 4-for-5 on Monday night.

Then assumed ownership of the entire franchise by night's end.

Not a bad series for a guy who was acquired for "cash considerations" in 2019.
