Lewisville pizza spot drops 'Texas Rangers pizza' with hot dogs, mustard, relish, Cracker Jacks and more

The Texas Ranger is a Detroit-style pizza with house blend and cheddar cheese mix, sliced hot dogs and onions, then topped with Cracker Jacks, relish, mustard, etc.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — Putting "take me out to the ball game" to a whole other level, a pizza place in North Texas is leaning in completely to the ballpark experience as the Texas Rangers take on the Houston Astros in the ALCS.

Motor City Pizza in Lewisville has released its pizza of the week called the Texas Ranger in honor of the team's ALCS appearance. What comes on the Texas Ranger? Well, let's just say it's heavily ballpark influenced. It is a Detroit-style dough with a house blend and cheddar cheese mix, topped with sliced hot dogs and onions. Then, the pie is baked. After coming out of the oven, the pizza is topped with mustard, ketchup, relish and a dusting of crushed up Cracker Jacks.

Yep, you read that right. A pizza with sliced hot dogs, relish, mustard and Cracker Jacks. All the ballpark fixings.

The pizza shop's owner said he'll keep the pizza on the menu for as long as the Rangers stay in the playoffs, and if they win it all, it could become a menu staple. WFAA's Teresa Woodard joked before Game 3 of the ALCS that if it guaranteed a World Series title, she'd totally eat it.

Would you try it? The pizza costs $13.95 plus taxes.
