ARLINGTON, Texas — Foodies and baseball fans, rejoice! As the MLB prepares for 2024 All-Star Week in Arlington, it announced new concessions coming to Globe Life Field exclusively for the All-Star festivities.
Globe Life Field says it has brought on 25 chefs to create the new dishes.
Some of the dishes have strong Texas ties with a ballpark twist, like the Lone Star Frito Pie Dog, which is a foot-long hot dog topped with chili, queso, sour cream, jalapenos and, of course, Fritos.
Globe Life Field is also putting a national spotlight on some local spots. Arlington-based Shrimp Doc will be available at Arlington Eats, a permanent stand that features a rotation of local eateries. Hurtado Barbecue, a local chain that is the official BBQ of Globe Life Field, has a permanent spot in the stadium. It will feature a new menu item for the week: a loaded cornbread muffin.
The headliner of the new menu is the Three Strike BoomBox, a cousin to the famous Boomstick Hot Dog sold at all Rangers games. The BoomBox features a 2-foot bed of waffle fries with chili, brisket, pulled pork, pico de gallo, lettuce and jalapenos on top. It'll be available to buy at the Texas 24 stand in section 132.
South Texas is also getting a special shoutout. Chef Oscar Breton Echeverria Gonzalez, who owns Tacos Vitali taqueria in San Antonio, will be preparing South Street Tacos.
For fans looking for a healthier option, the stadium will have fresh poke bowls. If you want to divert even more from traditional ballpark food, TikTok star StaleKracker will be preparing jambalaya and cajun pasta for the game.
Outside of food, Globe Life Field also announced the first-ever robot bartender in a baseball stadium. Its name is ADAM, and he will be posted in section 111 serving drinks alongside human bartenders.
