DALLAS, Texas — Three more Dallas Cowboys are headed to the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, the NFL announced on Tuesday.
But two of the team's previously announced selections, the league also revealed, will no longer be participating in this year's festivities.
Along with other Pro Bowl selections who are playing in Super Bowl LVIII and cannot participate from Pro Bowl events, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and guard Zack Martin have been excused from the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has also been excused, the league revealed.
In place of those absent selections, a number of replacement players have been added to the NFC and AFC's final rosters. On the NFC side, those new additions include Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson, offensive tackle Tyler Smith and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.
Those three will join five other previously announced Cowboys -- punter Bryan Anger, kicker Brandon Aubrey, cornerback DaRon Bland, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and edge rusher Micah Parsons -- on the 2024 Pro Bowl Games rosters.
That brings the team's participation count to eight, and total number of selections this year to 10.
Of the three additions, this is Lawrence's fourth Pro Bowl selection, and the first for both Ferguson and Smith.
The NFL also announced on Tuesday that a familiar name will also be in Orlando for the Pro Bowl Games: Former Dallas Cowboys player and recent Hall of Fame inductee DaMarcus Ware, who was himself selected for nine Pro Bowls, will serve as the defensive coordinator for the NFC team coached by Eli Manning.
The NFL Pro Bowl Games will air on ABC on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.
