FRISCO, Texas — The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) launched a new pro beach volleyball league in September, following the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Now, the best of the best will be in North Texas for the last stop of the AVP league's regular season on Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3.

Paris Olympians Taryn Kloth, Kristen Nuss, Andy Benesh, Miles Partain, Chase Budinger and Miles Evans are among the top athletes competing in Week 8 of the AVP’s tournament at Comerica Center in Frisco.

"We're excited to be back in Texas for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of beach volleyball in Dallas, a city with a vibrant volleyball community that truly embraces the sport," said Bobby Corvino, COO of the AVP.

The AVP League features eight teams representing cities including Austin, Brooklyn, Dallas, L.A., Miami, New York, Palm Beach and San Diego.

"With AVP League Championship berths on the line and the excitement of our inaugural season winding down, fans can expect a weekend filled with intense, high-stakes competition they won’t want to miss," Corvino said.

Only Dallas Dream, San Diego Smash, Austin Aces and the Los Angeles Launch will compete at the Comerica Center. Currently, the Dallas Dream is ranked #2 with an 8-4 record.

Each team is made up of one women’s pair and one men’s pair, with each pair playing one match on Saturday and one match on Sunday. The scoring style is also different, with matches being best-of-3 sets, each played to 15 points, with the winning team required to win by two points.

The matches will be streamed for free on the Bally Live app and ballylive.com and the matches will be archived on the AVP’s YouTube channel.

Tickets are $12 per day and can be purchased on the event's website.

The top four teams will advance to the League Championship on Nov. 9-10 at Dignity Health Sports Park’s tennis stadium in Carson, California.
