Jake Paul, Mike Tyson set to face off once more ahead of rescheduled fight

The Paul-Tyson fight was supposed to happen on July 20, but was rescheduled to November after Tyson had a mid-flight medical emergency.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will face off once more in a newly-announced press conference ahead of their bout, which was rescheduled after Tyson experienced a mid-flight medical emergency in May.

The two were supposed to fight on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but the fight was rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 15. Paul still fought on July 20, however, against BKFC champion Mike Perry, a TKO win for Paul in the sixth round.

Organizers said tickets purchased for the original July 20, 2024 date will be honored for the new date.

On Tuesday, Most Valuable Promotions, Netflix, and Fanatics Events jointly-announced a new press conference and face off between the two boxers at Fanatics Fest NYC on Sunday, Aug. 18. This will be the first time Paul and Tyson have faced off since their fiery, entertaining press conference in Arlington days before Tyson's medical emergency.

Here are the highlights from the Arlington press conference:

“After eating Mike Perry as an appetizer, I'm ready to go for the main course on Friday, November 15,” Jake Paul said. “To be fighting the biggest baddest boxer ever is a dream come true for me and it is going to be a nightmare for Mike Tyson. It's cool to be featured at Fanatics Fest alongside some of the biggest names in sports and I look forward to delivering a show the fans won’t soon forget on Friday, Nov. 15.”

The Paul vs. Tyson press conference at Fanatics Fest NYC will be hosted by former Pittsburgh Steeler and sports analyst Ryan Clark, officials said in the release.

“I’m looking forward to facing off with Jake Paul at Fanatics Fest in NYC,” said Mike Tyson. “The countdown is back on. I’m feeling great and looking forward to knocking out Jake Paul on Friday, November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Texas on Netflix.”
