One Texas high school football game began and ended with a coin flip Friday night.

Lufkin walked away with a 2-0 win over Ennis in the books after the game was called due to weather.

Heavy rains and lightning forced delays across the state starting Thursday. The Lufkin High School football team traveled roughly 150 miles to play its game Friday in Ennis.

After the game was called, the Panthers reportedly elected not to travel back to Lufkin Friday night and return to play the game Saturday.

UIL rules allow such a non-game to be decided by a coin flip. Lufkin won the toss and was awarded a win. The game goes down as a forfeit for Ennis.
