DFW high school football champions begin announcing college signings

You've watched some of these players lead their teams to state championships. Now, here's where they're headed next.

DALLAS — Dallas-Fort Worth dominated the UIL state football championships this year, as nearly half of the titles were won by teams in the area.

The following schools won titles this year:

  • Duncanville - 6A-D1
  • DeSoto - 6A-D2
  • Aledo - 5A-D1
  • South Oak Cliff - 5A-D2
  • Gunter - 3A-D2

On Wednesday, Dec. 21, the early signing period for colleges began for the 2023 recruiting season.

Some players from the championship teams have announced where they'll be headed to continue their football careers.

Here's a list of players and their colleges, so far:

South Oak Cliff

  • Jamarion Clark - Rice
  • Malik Muhammad - Texas
  • Abdul Muhammad - SMU
  • Brione Ramsey-Brooks - TCU
  • Randy Reece - SMU
  • David Spruiells - Northern Arizona
  • Narado Stoker - TCU
  • Jayvon Thomas - Texas A&M

Aledo

  • Ansel Din-Mbuh - Washington State
  • Jalen Pope - Air Force Academy

DeSoto

  • DeMichael Porter - Texas Southern University
  • Johntay Cook - Texas
  • Tre Wisner - Texas
  • Jaden Milliner-Jones - Colorado
