Guillermo from 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' speaks with WFAA, makes his NBA Finals prediction

The long-time talk show personality made an unlikely -- some would say impossible -- prediction as to how the Mavs-Celtics series will go.

DALLAS — In addition to airing every game of the 2024 NBA Finals on our station, WFAA is also hosting a special presentation called "The Pregame" before each and every matchup in the series. Head here for more information.

As the Dallas Mavericks prepped to take on the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, many discussions centered around how the series would go

Ahead of Game 1 in Boston, WFAA's Jonah Javad spoke with long-time talk show personality and sidekick of Jimmy Kimmel, Guillermo Rodriguez, to get his take on who would win the NBA Championship.

As Kimmel himself pointed out Thursday night on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" hilarity quickly ensued.

Guillermo, who was dressed up as the Celtic's mascot "Lucky the Leprechaun," jokingly explained why his appearance may have been a bit different than before.

"I think I put [on] a few pounds," Guillermo stated. "I don't know -- I think I'm eating too much lobster rolls and clam chowder."

The comedian then went on to make his bold and objectively impossible prediction for the series: "Five -- five [to] two," Guillermo explained.

So, if we didn't know Guillermo was rooting for the Celtics by looking at his leprechaun outfit, it became apparent after he predicted the Celtics would somehow defeat the Mavs 5-2 in the NBA Finals, which isn't possible as a team only requires four wins to win the series.

However, Guillermo was nice enough to shout out North Texas as he made sure to mention that you will be watching the NBA Finals on WFAA as ABC is the official broadcasting network for the postseason series.

Well, he tried, anyway, which we appreciate:
