DALLAS — Dallas golfer Scottie Scheffler is on a torrid run: Four tournament wins in his last five starts, including his second Masters title and the RBC Heritage, a victory he wrapped up Monday morning.
His only "shortcoming" was a second-place finish at the Houston Open.
That stretch puts Scheffler in rare air. He's the first PGA Tour player to win four of his last five starts since Tiger Woods in 2007-2008.
His performance has also earned him a ridiculous amount of money in a span of just 43 days.
Since winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 10, Scheffler has amassed around $16 million in earnings in his four wins and lone runner-up finish.

The Arnold Palmer: $4 million
The Players: $4.5 million
Texas Children's Houston Open (2): $553,735
The Masters: $3.6 million
RBC Heritage: $3.6 million
That comes out to just over $16.2 million in earnings in the last 43 days. Or, in other words, $377,000 per day for the last month-plus.
It pays well to be good at golf. It pays really well to be as good as Scheffler.
Now, Scheffler will turn his focus to fatherhood. Scheffler and his wife, Meredith, are expecting their first child sometime in the next two weeks. So the RBC Heritage win might have been Scheffler's last appearance for a few weeks.
His next crack at a major championship will come in mid-May at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Ky.
