FRISCO, Texas — The Indoor Football League's Frisco Fighters have called an indefinite timeout as the team announced Wednesday that it will not be participating in the 2025 season.

In a statement the organization posted to its social media pages, the Frisco Fighters said it will enter "dormant status" for the upcoming season.

The Frisco Fighters said in the statement that fans who have "committed funds" toward next season will receive full refunds for any amounts paid.

The indoor football organization didn't specify why it would be going into dormant status or if it was going to return at the conclusion of the 2025 season.

"The Frisco Fighters organization extends its sincerest gratitude to all the team's loyal supporters since its inception in 2020," the statement read.
