Who won the BMW Dallas marathon?

Thousands of runners descended on Dallas to compete in the BMW Dallas Marathon, half marathon and other events last weekend.

DALLAS — Thousands of runners fought humid and rainy conditions to compete in the BMW Dallas Marathon. Every runner took home a medal, but only the most elite crossed the finish line first at several events throughout the weekend.

The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival hosts several events on Saturday and Sunday including a 5K, 8K, mile, half marathon, relay marathon, marathon and ultra-marathon.

Here's a full list of runners who crossed the finish line first last weekend.

Who won the BMW Dallas marathon?

Travis Dowd, a 23-year-old UT Southwestern medical student, ran the fastest marathon time Sunday at 2:26:08, or an average pace of 5:31 per mile. Dowd finished the race about four minutes faster than the second-place finisher.

He previously ran for Rice University's cross-country team.

Erin Woodward, a 26-year-old from Fayetteville, Arkansas, was the first woman to cross the finish line. She finished the race in 2:46:51. or an average pace of 6:22 per mile. The second-place female finisher crossed the finish line about 8 minutes later. Woodward, a physical therapist, ran track for the University of Central Arkansas.

"I am overwhelmed with love and support, so thank you to everyone from my family to the strangers on the streets cheering!" Woodward wrote on Instagram.

Marathon Masters (40 years and older): 

  • Kalib Wilkinson, 40, of Little Elm: 02:41:03
  • Luciana Bartholomew, 43, of Aledo: 03:06:57

Marathon Seniors Masters (60 years and older): 

  • Peter Beauvais, 63, of Granbury: 03:08:32
  • Diane Burgin, 64, of Los Alamitos, Calif.: 04:10:34

Who won the BMW Dallas half marathon?

Adam Moore, 26, of Wichita, Kansas ran the fastest half-marathon time of 01:06:19, or an average pace of 5:04 per mile. The second-place finisher, Eric Casarez of Fort Worth finished just 7 seconds later.

Mimi Smith, 27, of Dallas was the first woman to cross the half marathon finish line for the third year in a row.

“Had a blast running around the city I’ve called home this past year and a half,” Smith wrote on Instagram after winning the race.

  • Alfonzo Gonzalez Jr, 44, of Lancaster: 01:18:05      
  • Julie Rembold, 44, of Lucas, Texas: 01:28:22          

Half marathon Seniors (60 years and older): 

  • Jim Dietz, 64, of Prosper: 01:23:48   
  • Adana Barber, 60, of Sachse: 01:44:11

Who won the BMW Dallas ultra marathon?

Scott Preston, 43, of Midlothian finished first in the 50K ultra marathon, the equivalent of about 31 miles. Preston ran the course in 03:19:21, or an average pace of 6:25 per mile.

Sarah Rabourn, 33, of Houston was the first woman to cross the finish line with a time of 03:39:18, or an average pace of 7:04 per mile.

Who won the BMW Dallas 5K?

Jack Matherly, 25, of Eugene, Oregon finished first in the 5K with a time of 15:22, or an average pace of 4:56 per mile.

Katie McCune, 26, of Fayetteville, Arkansas was the first female finisher in the 5K race with a time of 17:08 or an average pace of 5:31 per mile.

  • Nathan Heller, 46, of Crandall: 19:50          
  • Nikki Drader-Mazza, 42, of Plano: 19:56     

5K Seniors (60 years and older): 

  • Don Crawford, 61, of McKinney: 23:11        
  • Desiree Taylor, 61, of Oklahoma City: 27:31
