DALLAS — SEC Media Days takes on Texas for the first time ever this coming week as its welcome two newcomers who are quite familiar with the DFW area: Texas and Oklahoma.
The event, which had previously been held in the Birmingham area for over 30 years, started traveling to different venues in 2017. It took a detour to Atlanta 2018 and 2022, which bookended returns to Birmingham in 2019 and 2021. (There was no SEC media days in 2020 due to COVID.)
This year, SEC Media Days will be hosted at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas.
And it should be a doozie of one, too. This event is when the conference where "it just means more" will officially integrate into its fold the most prestigious former Big 12 programs and expand its own lineup to 16 teams.
Over the course of four days, from July 15 to July 18, WFAA will bring you live coverage and updates from the event.
