DALLAS - U.S. Secret Service agents detained a woman Friday afternoon who slipped inside former President George W. Bush's private subdivision and approached his home on Daria Place.

Sources told News 8 the woman rode on a bus from San Antonio to the exclusive Dallas residence so she could get her birth certificate from Mr. Bush. Sources also said she was talking to herself as she got near the home about 2:30 p.m.

A spokesman for the former president said neither Mr. Bush nor Mrs. Bush were home at the time.

Dallas police took the woman to get a psychiatric evaluation.

A U.S. Secret Service spokeswoman said agents in San Antonio have had previous encounters with the woman. The woman's identity was not released. It's uncertain if she'll face criminal charges.

The entrance to Bush'sneighborhood does not have a guard posted, but there are a number of surveillance cameras watching who enters and exits.
