BRYAN - A tornado possibly touched down in the Bryan-College Station area, where there were reports of damage after high winds and heavy rain pounded the location Thursday afternoon.
Several homes were damaged in the Wheeler Ridge subdivision.
A possible tornado also uprooted large trees and caused other damage in the Oak Hill area.
A warning was also issued at Prairie View A&M, located southeast of the College Station-Bryan area.
Authorities also warned residents of high water. At 3:20 p.m., there was at least one high-water rescue underway.
There have been no reports of injuries.
Texas A&M issued a Code Maroon alert just before 1 p.m. urging students to stay inside. There have been no reports of damage.
The tornado warning has expired but Bryan is under a flash flood warning until 3 p.m.
Tuesday, a EF-3 tornado touched down just north of Dodge City in Oklahoma. The National Weather Service confirmed one home was destroyed in Ensign.
The storm was so strong, it produced multiple tornadoes at the same time. Two people were reported critically injured.
