Jan. 23, 2019 story:
The reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the person who shot a service dog in Quinlan earlier this month has been raised to $6,000 after an anonymous donor contributed $5,000 to the pot, the Hunt County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
Journey, a golden retriever service dog for 15-year-old diabetic girl Hannah Westmoreland, was found shot outside the Westmoreland home Jan. 13. The family is still looking for the shooter, and used a GoFundMe to raise money for a new service dog for Hannah. As of Wednesday, the GoFundMe has raised more than twice its $20,000 goal.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Hunt County Crime Stoppers at 903-457-2929 and will remain anonymous.
