TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — After four hours of deliberation stretched over two days, a Tarrant County jury found 19-year-old rapper Tay-K 47 guilty of murder and three counts of aggravated robbery Friday for his part in a 2016 home invasion robbery in Mansfield that left a 21-year-old man dead and another wounded.
Tay-K, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre, pleaded guilty last Monday to two counts of aggravated robbery. The aggravated robbery he was a part of left 21-year-old Ethan Walker dead and left Zachary Beloate injured.
McIntyre pleaded not guilty to capital murder in Walker's death, and also pleaded not guilty to another count of aggravated robbery in the shooting of Beloate.
The sentencing portion of McIntyre's trial will continue Monday. He faces five to 99 years or life in prison on each charge.
While under house arrest awaiting trial in March 2017, McIntyre fled after cutting off his ankle monitor and was captured in New Jersey in June 2017.
