Wise County Judge Bill McElhaney has died unexpectedly.
He collapsed Monday morning at a meeting of county commissioners in Decatur.
McElhaney, 67, was serving his second term as county judge.
According to a biography on his website, McElhaney was a life-long resident of Wise County whose family tree in Texas dated back to the 1870s.
McElhaney is survived by his wife, Kim, four children and seven grandchildren.
