Our team is already researching and assembling a list of questions -- but we bet you have some of your own, too.

DALLAS — On October 15, incumbent Texas' incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and his Democrat challenger Colin Allred will participate in a debate on WFAA -- just three weeks before Election Day.

But, before the two come face to face in what we're calling "The Texas Debate", we here at WFAA want to hear from you -- the voters.

The debate will be moderated by WFAA Senior Political Reporter Jason Whitely and Gromer Jeffers, Jr., political reporter at The Dallas Morning News. While our team is already researching and assembling a list of questions to ask of the candidates, we bet you have some topics you'd like to see addressed, too.

Is there an issue, a vote or a position you’d like us to ask the candidates about? Maybe you should: After all, one of these men will represent Texas for the next six years in the U.S. Senate.

Fill the form below and tell us what you want to see covered in the debate. We simply as that you provide your full name, your city of residence and a daytime telephone number where we can reach you in case we need to follow up and hear more about your query.

Here's the form:

Cruz was first elected to the Senate in 2012 and is seeking a third six-year term in the Senate. He is the ranking member of the Senate Committee for Commerce, Science and Transportation.

Allred was elected to the U.S. House in 2018, representing the Dallas area. He was one of two Democrats to flip the U.S. House seats from red to blue in Texas that same year.

In 2018, Cruz defeated former Rep. Beto O’Rourke by three percentage points – the closest margin in a Texas U.S. Senate race in decades. A recent poll of likely voters by the Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation (TxHPF) found that the race between Allred and Cruz is currently a virtual tie.

Election Day is Nov. 5.
