As the evening comes to a close from the first day of the Republican National Convention, there are already plenty of moments to discuss.
Here are the five key moments from RNC Day 1:
5. Benghazi mom: Hillary Clinton killed my son
Pat Smith's son, Sean, was killed in Benghazi. Smith said she spoke with her son the night before his death and he told her, "I'm going to die," because all security had been pulled from the embassy and no reason was ever provided.
Smith said she has asked Clinton for answers on Benghazi and has received none.
"I personally blame Hillary Clinton for for the death of my son," Smith told the RNC crowd Monday night.
4. Rudy Giuliani fires up the crowd
In an animated opening night speech, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani had the crowd on its feet as he declared support for Donald Trump and a fight against terrorism.
In endorsing Trump, Giuliani said, "What I did for New York City, Donald Trump will do for America."
He went on to note the fight against ISIS, emphasizing he was referring to radical Muslim extremists, not Muslims as a whole.
"You know who you are, and we're coming to get you," Giuliani declared.
3. Melania speaks -- and steals?
Trump's wife, Melania, delivered a speech in which she applauded her husband's leadership skills and the country's need for change.
"Our country is underperforming and needs new leadership," she said. "...Donald wants our country to move forward in the most positive of ways. Everyone wants change."
However, Melania's speech didn't come without controversy. Shortly following her moment on stage, accusations of plagiarism surfaced across the internet.

2. Delegates clash
Delegates who don't favor Trump made a last-ditch effort to put a stop to his nomination.
Convention officials briefly left the stage during the afternoon session as anti-Trump delegates shouted, "Roll call vote!" and Trump supporters answered with, "We want Trump!"
Chaos ensued on the convention floor but in the end, delegates must vote on behalf of the primaries, meaning they must vote Trump.
1. Trump speaks -- but only briefly
Trump didn't say much when he took the stage Monday night, leaving most of his namesake's talking to his wife.
He did, however say, "We're going to win so big," the moment he reached the podium following a flashy entrance.
