Gov. Tim Walz headlines Democratic fundraiser in Dallas Monday

The Monday event will be Walz’s first fundraising trip to Texas and happens the night before the first presidential debate between Harris and Trump.

DALLAS — The Democratic vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will headline a private fundraiser in Dallas on Monday.

Specifics are still being put together right now, Democratic sources told WFAA, suggesting interest has become so great that the Walz fundraiser will be held at a larger venue rather than a donor’s home, as often happens for big name political candidates.

The Dallas reception for Walz is hosted by Dori and Russell Budd, Sima Ladjevardian, Jill Louis and Randy Bowman, Regina Montoya and Paul Coggins, Gavin Susman, Sharon and Michael Young and Sharon Jones Youngblood.

Ticket prices range from $1,000 to $100,000.

The Monday event will be Walz’s first fundraising trip to Texas, and happens the night before the first presidential debate between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.

Political candidates often make multiple stops in Texas, though it’s uncertain now if the Harris – Walz campaign has any more events planned in this state next week.

Harris has visited Texas several times since taking over the top spot for Democrats.

Right now, there are no public events scheduled for Walz in Dallas.
