TEXAS, USA — There is only one Texas State House seat on the ballot this Election Day -- a special election being held to fill the vacant seat for State House District 2.
The seat has been vacant since May -- when former State Rep. Bryan Slaton was expelled by a State House Committee in May after it was found he had sex with a 19-year-old intern after getting her drunk.
There are six different politicians running to fill the seat -- five Republicans and a Democrat. The district stretches across Hunt, Hopkins and Van Zandt Counties.
