Cowboys' AT&T stadium to serve as a polling location on Election Day

This marks the first time the Arlington stadium will be used as a polling place since opening in 2009.

ARLINGTON, Texas — AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, will be used as a voting location for all Tarrant County registered voters on Election Day.

On Tuesday, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court approved the use of the AT&T Stadium as a voting location. This marks the first time the Arlington stadium will be used as a polling place since opening in 2009.

The stadium will not be used as an early voting site.

Tarrant County allows residents to vote from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at any polling place within county limits, which means diehard Cowboys fans can head over to AT&T Stadium to cast their vote if they choose.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Both former president Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have made stops across the state this year.

In addition to the presidential election, Texas voters will also decide a hotly-contested U.S. Senate race between incumbent Ted Cruz and Democratic challenger Colin Allred.

This isn’t the first time a North Texas arena has been used as a polling site. In 2020, several stadiums, including American Airlines Center, served as a polling location so voters could cast their votes while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
