Heat advisory Tuesday and Wednesday for much of North Texas

A heat advisory will go into effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon and continue into Wednesday evening for much of North Texas.

A heat advisory will go into effect from 1 p.m. Tuesday and into Wednesday evening for much of North Texas. That means we expect the heat index to meet or exceed 105 degrees for at least two consecutive days.

TODAY: Partly sunny skies, hot and humid. Heat index over 105°. Winds: S 10-15. High: 97.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies, warm and muggy again. Winds: S 5-10. Low 78.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies, hot and humid again. Heat index over 105°. Winds: S 10-15. High: 99.
