People went crazy over Beyoncé’s 2015 Met Gala look: a Givenchy sheer gown covered in hand-sewn crystals. It sparkled, but also showed a lot of skin.
India Ross, an 18-year-old high school student from St. Louis, Mo., fell in love with the look. So much so, she recreated it for her prom.
Using materials from big box stores including Michaels, we are sure Ross’ dress came with a much lower price tag than the original. The design, not quite as sheer as Bey's (thank goodness), came together with the help of local designer Toi Hall of Toi Box Couture. That signature ponytail was courtesy of hairstylist Teddi Jennings.
Ross, who clearly wants to be a Queen Bee in fashion, plans to double major in fashion business and fashion merchandising the Columbia College of Chicago, Ross said in an interview with Cosmopolitan.
