MCKINNEY, Texas -- A McKinney councilman who claims he was racially profiled by police voted to censure himself Wednesday night.
La'Shadion Shemwell was arrested earlier this month for refusing to sign a speeding ticket. After police released video of the arrest, Shemwell admitted he handled things poorly. While he supported censure during the city council's meeting, Shemwelll said he will fight the speeding charge in court.
