A man who got trapped beneath a DART train in east Oak Cliff on Monday evening said he was pushed onto the tracks, officials said.
The incident happened about 5:50 p.m. near the rail station at 1363 Morrell Avenue, along the DART blue line.
Rescue crews had to use the Jaws of Life to lift the rail car high enough and free the man, who was trapped beneath the back portion of the train, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
The man said he was pushed onto the tracks, but DART officials hadn't yet verified the claim, DART spokesman Gordon Shattles said.
The man was taken to Methodist Charlton Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries to his lower body, Shattles said.
