ARLINGTON -- Arlington police say a man has been arrested for shooting another outside AT&T Stadium.
Off-duty officers were called to Lot 10, at the southeast corner of Collins and Randol Mill, after reports came in about a brawl.
A fight broke out between 28-year-old Marvin Rodriguez at about 8:20 p.m. at a tailgate party. Witnesses say he pointed a gun at the 27-year-old man, who walked away.
A few minutes later Rodriguez reportedly got into a fight with someone else. That's when 43-year-old Richard Sells stepped in to break it up.
After Sells fell to the ground, Rodriguez shot him in the neck. He was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
Rodriguez was still on the scene and also suffered minor injuries, but he wasn't shot.
He was taken to a local hospital and then into police custody.
The incident took place a few hours after the Dallas Cowboys were defeated by the New England Patriots, but it isn't clear if fan rivalry was the reason for the fights.
