FOREST HILL, Texas — A woman was hit and killed by a car Monday evening on Mansfield Highway, the Forest Hill Police Department said.
According to police, officers responded to the 4900 block of eastbound Mansfield Highway around 7:29 p.m. to the report of an auto-pedestrian accident.
Police said officers located the woman lying on the roadway and it appeared that she had been hit by a car.
According to police, the Forest Hill Fire Department and MedStar Ambulance sent personnel to render aid. However, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
Forest Hill PD said officers interviewed the driver of the car involved and a witness. Both are cooperating in the investigation and no criminal charges are pending, according to police.
