DALLAS — A woman and a young girl were killed Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle in the 8300 block of Spring Valley Road, Dallas police say.
Police say they were called to the area shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, and a preliminary investigation determined a woman and a girl had been hit by a vehicle.
The woman and child were taken to a local hospital, where they died from their injuries, police say. The woman was identified as 26-year-old Joselin Borjas Paogada, and the child was identified as four-year-old Daylin Sofia Amaya Borjas, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, according to police, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
