AZLE, Texas — The death of a six-week-old baby on Monday is under investigation in Wise County, authorities said.

Ayelen Judith Tzi Sub, who was born on July 10, was identified as the baby who died Monday afternoon, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. The baby's cause of death is pending.

Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin in a statement said the baby's parents earlier in the day took her to a hospital emergency room in Azle because she wasn't feeling well and had a rash on her backside. The baby was examined and the family was sent home, Akin said.

Later Monday, the baby began to have trouble breathing, so her parents took her back to the emergency room. The baby then "turned blue," Akin said, and was rushed to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, where she died.

The baby was living with her parents at a home in Briar, Akin said. More information was not released.

The Wise County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division obtained a search warrant for their home, Akin said. Officials were still investigating Tuesday.

WFAA has reached out to the Azle hospital for more information and a statement. We'll update this story when we hear back.
