Winged-horse Pegasus once again aglow in downtown Dallas

DALLAS - Downtown Dallas is once again lit up by the winged-horse Pegasus.

The historic sign was turned back on for the first time in months after workers repaired the neon.

The Pegasus, which sits atop the Magnolia Hotel and Apartments on Elm St. in dowtown, still doesn't rotate like it once did because money has not yet been raised for the repairs.

Serving as the Magnolia Oil Company logo, the Art Deco sign was first placed on the Magnolia Building in 1934. The City of Dallas became the owner of the sign in 1976 and the sign once again debuted on top of the Magnolia on New Year's Eve in 2000.
