DALLAS — Get ready, North Texas wrestling fans: The Von Erichs are finally returning to the ring in Dallas.
Kevin, Marshall and Ross Von Erich made their AEW debut during the Dec. 13 episode of Dynamite, which was filmed in Dallas.
During their appearance on that show, the family set up Marshall and Ross Von Erich teaming up with "Freshly Squeezed" Orange Cassidy in a six-man tag team match -- a staple match of the Von Erich brothers in the '80s.
That match, which was also taped on Dec. 13, will premiere on AEW Rampage, which airs at 9 p.m. CT on Dec. 15 on TNT.
That's not the only match Marshall and Ross Von Erich will fight this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth, either.
Also on Dec. 15, the next-generation Von Erichs will participate in a tag team match against the Outrunners as part of the Ring of Honor promotion's Final Battle event. While Final Battle is a pay-per-view match, this match will be aired at 6 p.m. as part of the event's pre-show, which will stream for free on Ring of Honor's YouTube channel.
These appearances come a week prior to the release of The Iron Claw, the biopic depicting the tragic rise and fall of their ancestors, who were pro wrestling superstars in the '80s in North Texas.
The Iron Claw, starring Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White, held its world premiere at the historic Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff, where WFAA brought live coverage from the red carpet. We spoke with Efron, White, Trish Stratus and Kevin Von Erich.
Ross and Marshall Von Erich are the sons of Kevin Von Erich, the last surviving member from his generation of the beloved North Texas wrestling family that beset by tragedy in the '80s.
The Iron Claw releases in theaters on Dec. 22.
