DALLAS — An "unknown item" discovered at Wilmer-Hutchins High School on Saturday prompted a police investigation, according to Dallas ISD.
The school district says the item was reported Saturday afternoon and police showed up at the high school located at 5520 Langdon Road and conducted a full sweep, ultimately determining that the item was a "hoax."
It's not clear what the item was or who may have left it there at this time. However, Dallas ISD said the campus is safe and clear.
According to the school district, there will be an additional police presence at the school on Monday as a precaution.
