SHERMAN, Texas — Three-year-old twin siblings were found dead in a swimming pool in North Texas Wednesday, police say.
Officers responded to a call about two children unconscious in a swimming pool at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of W. Washington Street in Sherman shortly before noon Wednesday, police say. Sherman is about 65 miles north of Dallas near the Texas-Oklahoma border.
EMS paramedics also responded to the scene and began performing life-saving measures upon arrival, officials say.
The children were taken to a hospital but didn’t survive, police say.
The Sherman Police Department’s criminal investigation division is investigating the incident.
