DALLAS — Red Dirt Country artist Wade Bowen debuted the official music video for his single, "Friday Night," and it features none other than Dallas Cowboys legend and NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman.

The video was inspired by the famous series, "Friday Night Lights," and it follows a former high school football quarterback reminiscing on his life and falling in love with his high school sweetheart.

While Aikman doesn't offer any melodic vocals in this video, he does provide crucial commentary in the beginning to set the scene. He acts as a football announcer, which couldn't have been hard to do considering it's his job in real life, and he takes you through cinematic scenes of a high school football game.

"I'm so honored to not only know Troy but to also call him a friend," Bowen said in a press release. "He's an amazing guy and shares a true passion for music, so having him on this song and in this video is a dream come true for me."

Now, this isn't Aikman's first rodeo in the music industry.

The former Dallas Cowboy starred in Shenandoah's 1992 music video for "Leavin's Been A Long Time Comin," and he's collaborated on songs with Waylon Jennings and Toby Keith.

Aikman even threw his own music festival in his hometown Henryetta, Oklahoma.

This single, "Friday Night," is the latest off of Bowen's 10th studio album "Flyin," which was released in May. You can listen to the song here.
