FORT WORTH, Texas — The seventeenth edition of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth is getting closer, and you can get your tickets now!
The competition, which features some of the best pianists in the world, will take place from May 21 to June 7, 2025, at the Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU and Bass Performance Hall.
Here's a breakdown of how the competition is formatted:
Preliminary Round: Wednesday, May 21 - Friday, May 23
All 30 competitors will perform a 40-minute recital, including newly commissioned work from 2025 juror Gabriela Montero, at Van Cliburn Concert Hall.
- Tickets for this round range from $10 to $30.
Quarterfinal Round: Saturday, May 24 - Sunday, May 25
The 18 quarterfinalists will perform 40-minute recitals at Van Cliburn Concert Hall.
- Tickets for this round range from $15 to $35.
Semifinal Round: Wednesday, May 28, Thursday, May 29 to Sunday, June 1
The 12 semifinalists will perform hour-long solo recitals at Bass Performance Hall.

Semifinal Round Concerto: Thursday, May 29 to Sunday, June 1
The 12 semifinalists will perform Mozart concertos with Carlos Miguel Prieto and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Bass Performance Hall.

Final Round: Tuesday, June 3 to Wednesday, June 4, Friday, June 6 to Saturday, June 7
The six finalists will perform two concertos each with Marin Alsop and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Bass Performance Hall.
