TEXAS, USA — For two weeks in a row now, one of the favorite moves of the camera operators at Texas Longhorns games is to cut to the man dubbed as "the funniest Manning," Cooper, father of backup quarterback Arch Manning.
Cooper Manning has become UT's latest meme-able figure with the hats he's been wearing to football games. The big moment – and even bigger hat – came during the mid-afternoon Red River Rivalry game in the hot Texas sun. Let's just say ... he came prepared for the lack of shade in Dallas' iconic Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Cooper Manning donned a oversized straw hat, commonly worn by ranchers to protect themselves from the sun.
Then, in the following week against Georgia, the cameras flocked to Cooper again, as he wore yet another hat that social media had a field day with.
The visuals drew people to compare him top Doug Dimmadome from the Nickelodeon show "Fairly Odd Parents" and Speedy Gonzales, who famously dons a yellow sombrero.
