FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Can Academy in Fort Worth said an altercation occurred Wednesday between a teacher and a student.
The school said a preliminary investigation by school authorities indicates the dispute involved a student’s use of a cell phone during class.
Fort Worth police said they were called to the school in the 1300 block of E. Lancaster Avenue shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday in response to a “physical altercation between two individuals.” No injuries were reported.
Texas Can Academy said an investigation will be conducted into the incident.
Texas Can Academy is a charter school with campuses across Texas, including in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio, according to their website.
